Originally hailing from the media capital of Hilversum in the Netherlands, I was introduced to music from a very early age with both my grandparents being professional musicians. When it was my turn to choose a vocation, I was persuaded to study and get a 'proper' job. I originally trained as a nurse, followed by a degree course in business studies but my heart has always been and will always be in music!

When I moved to the UK, way back when in 1992, I was approached by Marillion, who were looking for someone to take on the running of their International fanzine, The Web. During my 5 years at the helm, I organised a number of conventions working with support acts such as; Jadis, Jump, Mr So & So, John Wesley, Cry no More & Lurch, album release parties and an international road trip. I also designed and sourced merchandise, some live photography, wrote and produced numerous fanzines and in the process managed to grow the fan base considerably.

In 2002 I became involved with DTIFC (Dream Theater International Fan Club) where are took on responsibilities for copy writing, album reviews, copy editing, translation activity (Dutch - English) and interviews.

I founded Moodbully in 2004 with the original aim of acting as a general promotions and booking agent for Jadis. However, as always in life, the road was not a straight one and I soon ended up expanding my roster, undertaking all sorts of marketing related activities for various artists.

A lengthy conversation with a certain Bernie Marsden gave cause to rethink where Moodbully was headed. It became apparent that it was best to focus on core skills rather than try to be all things to all people. Instead of trying to offer an expensive full service, it would be better to offer a range of tailored and bespoke communications pieces to suit all needs; let's face it, few people have full record company backing and unlimited budgets these days!

A well composed targeted piece of communication or a carefully crafted bio can be worth it's weight in gold - the good news for you is, we can create anything you require, from a single A4 document right the way through to a fully integrated communications package.

For Moodbully it's not just about 'the business' and making money, it's all about promoting music and the creativity behind it!
