BIOGRAPHY Mink is a writing collaboration comprising of singer / songwriter / musician Gary Chandler and lyricist / vocalist Julia Worsley. Having worked together on earlier projects, the two met up again during 2000 and quickly realised that there was a real synergy between their two differing musical backgrounds that allowed them to combine their knowledge and experience to successfully create original pop / rock tunes specifically aimed at radio play lists. These two artists have long established backgrounds in the music industry, Gary having been a recording artist for some years and has toured extensively. He has also worked with a number of music industry 'names', Julia's background is somewhat more diverse having been involved as a touring performer and in the performing arts, including musical productions. The prime aim of Mink is to continue collaborating and writing material with the aim of securing a publishing contract and make their material available to other commercial recording artists. They have produced a 4 track demo CD, which has been used to sample reaction and subsequently receive both critical acclaim and airplay on Radio 2, Capital, Wave 105 and Power FM amongst others, proving that the material does have commercial appeal and should provide a good basis on which to start discussing potential opportunities. As an indication the lyrical style is best described as a mix of emotional and thoughtful, utilised in a prosaic form. Musically the songs are 'hooky' and diverse in nature with a generally wide appeal.
